U.S. Army First Sgt. Guillermo Rivas watched Wednesday as the ground was broken for his new house in Greenville, Texas, knowing it will be the house his family can call “home” after 27 years of military service and nine moves with his wife Donnajayne, son Nathan, 22, and daughter Chayanne, 18. “A wall went away today,” said Rivas, referring to the surrealism surrounding the entire event.
