Stories Related to Norwalk Man Charged In Stolen-car Crash In Stamford

STAMFORD — A Norwalk man wanted for allegedly crashing a stolen car in Glenbrook last week was picked up at the home of his girlfriend while visiting his newborn child on Wednesday afternoon. After several hours staking out an Adams Avenue home in the bitter cold, officers in the Narcotics and Organized Crime squad spotted Karon McCollum, 30, walking into the home and after a short struggle took him into custody. Richard Conklin said state police also have a warrant charging McCollum with using a weapon in October 2017 to rob someone with another Norwalk man in the parking lot of a Denny’s Restaurant in Westbrook. Conkin said that McCollum was allegedly driving a stolen car on Glenbrook Road at about 6:30 p.m.
