In Niger, Flooding Adds To Humanitarian Woes

NAIROBI — Already beset with a severe hunger crisis, the West African nation of Niger is now grappling with the worst flooding in 80 years. At least half a million people have been displaced, according to the aid agency Oxfam, and cholera rates are expected to rise. More than 80 people have died in the floods, the United Nations says.
