- Yellow powder - Page 2 - Pyrotechnics - APC ForumI was planning on making some yellow powder just to fool around. Seeing as I dont have any K2CO3, I was planning on using Na2CO3, as chemguy is. I just tried a synthesis of sodium carbonate, and I yeilded 47.3 of Na2CO3 from 100 grams of NaHCO3.
- Blackpowder keeps gooping to yellow and black goops.I made black powder and when burning it creates goops one of the hardened blobs is on the floor/surface and is yellow (maybe sulfur) and reacts somewhat violently with water. The other is more normal it goops into black smaller globs even without sugar the black powder is traditional recipe. I'm just eyeing the proportions so that may be why.
