- How wet are your bilges? - The WoodenBoat ForumThe forward bilges are damp, but have no standing water, and the lowest point seems to always have about 1 inch of water. As Lew says, when she has been out, especially in rougher seas, there is more water in the bilge, and she leaks a little more for a few days, and then goes back to the 1 per day cycle.
- R Boat Pirate Pond Yacht - The WoodenBoat ForumOriginaly the pond yacht model compition of the R boat were used to raise funds to sent the boat back to the R Boat Nationals at Larchmont NY back in the mid twenties. With West Coast skipper Matt Walsh at the helm "Pirate" won the R Nationals that year and brought the trophy back to the West Coast.
