In the Options box, click Advanced. In the list at Image Size and Quality, do one of the following. (This example shows the options in Word.) Ignore the drop-down list to select your current document by default.
- Change the default resolution for inserting pictures in OfficeTo change the default resolution to high fidelity in Word or Excel: Click File > Options > Advanced. Under Image Size and Quality, select High fidelity in the Default resolution list. Choose the default resolution you want for inserted images if the current default is too high or low.
