So perhaps careful use of filters or attenuators may be required. Thereby remains the same problem with the main 13 signal from Asheville. Hopefully they will increase power or make adjustments so the WLOS translator is easily receivable in Upstate SC.
- WLOS - Anyone else having problems? (coverage) - Greenville ...WLOS tower move is supposed to occur by the end of October, hopefully providing a stronger signal in the Upstate for Channel 13. Also translator moves are supposed to provide an improved alternative signal for WLOS filling in the gaps in the Upstate. Stay tuned in the fall for much needed improvements.
- WLOS ABC 13 Not viewable OTA in the upstate? - City-Data.comA basic set of rabbit ears strategically extended with an inline amplifier will pull in 13-WLOS for ABC. The signal is there, but it is more of a problematic challenge to receive than the other local channels. Digital TV on VHF is more prone to noise and interference, and WLOS has a directional pattern that is not optimized for the Upstate.
- WLOS ABC 13 Not viewable OTA in the upstate? (Greenville, Greer: house ...I receive WLOS 13 quite well year round from my location in Greer. I use an antenna in my attic with an amplifier. For antenna aiming, the WLOS tower is located at lat 35.4256, long -82.7569 (Google it in Google maps) and is at a height above average terrain of 853 feet. Line of sight, this is 44.77 miles to my house in Greer.
- Wheel and Jeopardy in your market? | RadioDiscussionsIn my market (GSP/Asheville), they started on WYFF 4 and moved to WLOS 13 where they are today (occasionally they've also aired weekend or daytime runs on channel 40 "My40", WLOS' sister station). In Charlotte Wheel was on WBTV from I think 1984 to 1990, WSOC from 1990-93 and WCNC from 1993-today.
