I get dozens of political texts every day trying to solicit donations. The texts often appear in the form of personal or sensationalist messages from big Republican figures. Every single text includes a link that send me to WinRed, a site that processes some GOP donations.
- Does anyone know how to stop political text messages?Over the last few weeks, I have been bombarded by text messages from WinRed, the donation advertisement service of the Republican Party in the United States. I have replied STOP to several messages, and received confirmation, but they just use a different number each time.
- WinRed/RSLC Membership Texts : r/Scams - RedditWinRed is a scam. They create AI ads that VERY convincingly look like candidates, but the website has all the hallmarks of a scam website and at the bottom, it says " Paid for by WinRed. Not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.
- Every Day I Get Multiple SPAM Texts from the GOP/WinRedWinRed and the GOP party send me at least two spam text messages a day. WinRed tells me to tell the candidates (Trump, Pence, etc.). The candidates tell me to reply stop. Replying stop and blocking the number doesn't help because they are all from unique phone numbers. There are 99,999,999,999 possible numbers. That is a lot of blocks.
