"Please wait..." popup appearing every few minutes
The "Please wait..." popup shown below has started showing up every few minutes on my PC. It only lasts about one second before disappearing again, and appears in front of my windows. It is extremely annoying and I cannot determine what is causing it. Is this coming from a Microsoft program? Is there a way I can track this down? Thanks, Adam

Google Ngrams ("wait on, wait for") shows the two phrases comparable up to 1700, and since then "wait on" getting progressively less common and "wait for" more so. It doesn't appear to show any significant difference in British and American usage since 1800.
