Bookmark or Share- Differences between Mini VOX and Mini Lux - TiVo Community ForumI got a new Mini Lux and decided to swap out my old Mini Vox and I'm having issues with the remote control. My equipment sits in a closet with no line of sight to anything. This worked fine with the mini Vox. Now with the Mini Lux I have to be in front of the unit for the remote to work, which doesn't work for my setup.
- Tivo Mini vs Mini Vox, what are the differences?Built-in support for VOX Remote (vs earlier models that would require a USB Bluetooth dongle) The Mini VOX remote is identical to that of the BOLT VOX, whereas the remotes for the earlier Minis would be slightly or substantially different, depending on whether you're talking about a v2 or v1 Mini, respectively. - Can't pair remote rf to Roamio, am I crazy? - TiVo Community ForumBut you would need a USB dongle for bluetooth/voice search to work on VOX/LUX remotes on a Roamio. Pretty sure that is a LUX/VOX remote rebranded. You can usually tell with the "TiVo button" is a circle and not the button shape of the TiVo logo itself. And if it's backlit with a circle TiVo button, it's a LUX. TiVo Remotes:
- Mini Lux? - TiVo Community ForumTiVo Mini Lux has as much app support as any TiVo Edge, Bolt, Roamio or Premiere. If you're satisfied with that, then you'll see no difference with a Mini Lux. If you find anything undesirable for your use, be it the interface, the way it interacts with your TV, sound equipment, etc. then you will also find that unchanged.
