Bookmark or Share- Your virus and threat protection is managed by your organisationI recently uninstalled the virus protection from my laptop and wanted to revert back to using windows defender. even after rebooting my laptop it still shows the same message as above. I went to control panel- security & maintenance and wanted to uncheck the box saying spyware & malware but the tick in the box was in light grey not black or empty.

This is frequently caused by running on a "School" or "Work" account. Check for that first. I am not familiar with W11, however, on W10 the instructions in this link have resolved this. problem before. Give it a try if you like.
