vbscript - How do I get the Date & Time (VBS) - Stack Overflow
This is an old question but alot of the answers in here use VB or VBA. The tag says vbscript (which is how I got here).
windows - vbscript output to console - Stack Overflow
You only need to force cscript instead wscript. I always use this template. The function ForceConsole () will execute your vbs into cscript, also you have nice alias to print and scan text. Set oWSH = CreateObject("WScript.Shell") vbsInterpreter = "cscript.exe". Call ForceConsole() Function printf(txt) WScript.StdOut.WriteLine txt.
Read and write into a file using VBScript - Stack Overflow
Here's some code to read and write text to a text file: Option Explicit. Const fsoForReading = 1. Const fsoForWriting = 2. Function LoadStringFromFile(filename) Dim fso, f. Set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject") Set f = fso.OpenTextFile(filename, fsoForReading) LoadStringFromFile = f.ReadAll.
Getting current directory in VBScript - Stack Overflow
C:\Users>cscript //nologo "C:\myscripts\cool.vbs" Then your working directory will be C:\Users, not C:\myscripts. If you drop a file onto your vbs file (launcing the script in WScript with arguments), then the working dir will be C:\Windows\System32 (!) (even if the dropped file is in the same directory as the vbs script.) I hope this helps.
How to set delay in vbscript - Stack Overflow
38. If you're trying to simulate a sleep delay in VBScript but WScript is not available (eg: your script is called from Microsoft's BGInfo tool), then try the following approach. The example below will delay until 10 seconds from the moment the instruction is processed: Dim dteWait. dteWait = DateAdd("s", 10, Now())
