- Review - Two new Ohana Sopranos - Ukulele Underground ForumThere is an interesting postscript to the review I posted at the start of this thread. The two ukes I reviewed were donated by The Ukulele Shop (since closed) to the raffle at the Hollesley Ukulele gathering last July. I bought tickets for the raffle. I won the SK70MG! It is a fine instrument. I am very happy with it. Ukantor.
- Gear - Small Amplifiers | Ukulele Underground ForumWhen I get my ukulele that I can plug in I'll be using a Vox mini 5 for my first plug in experimentation. It's what we have in the house. Bought it for my son and his electric guitar playing. Can't say how it will pair with what I'll buy but I'm leaning towards a UFOS ukulele, definitely solid or semi solid body instrument.
- why double G string? - Ukulele Underground Forumive seen many profesional players with two G stings on there ukulele. the rest CEA are single set. most of the time high G on top and a Low G on the bottom. basically octave apart. sometimes double of the same string. just curious, is there a reason for this?
