Bookmark or Share- How to correct a #REF! error - Microsoft SupportThe #REF! error shows when a formula refers to a cell that’s not valid. This happens most often when cells that were referenced by formulas get deleted, or pasted over. #REF! error caused by deleting a column. Example - VLOOKUP with incorrect range references. - Manage queries (Power Query) - Microsoft SupportYou can manage your queries either in the Queries pane of the Power Query Editor or on the Queries tab of the Queries & Connections pane in Excel. This is especially helpful if you have many queries and you want to quickly locate a query.
- Display the relationships between formulas and cellsTo display a tracer arrow to each cell that directly provides data to the active cell, on the Formulas tab, in the Formula Auditing group, click Trace Precedents. Blue arrows show cells with no errors. Red arrows show cells that cause errors.
- XLOOKUP function - Microsoft SupportUse the XLOOKUP function to find things in a table or range by row. For example, look up the price of an automotive part by the part number, or find an employee name based on their employee ID.
- Fix an inconsistent formula - Microsoft SupportSelect Formulas > Trace Precedents. Compare the blue arrows or ranges in blue, and then correct any problems with the inconsistent formula. Select Formulas > Remove Arrows .
