I've seen the internet slang TL;DR many times in the internet, and as I can see people used it pretty much in the present day. Can I use it in a formal email to a client?

Why does this abbreviation "tl;dr" have a punctuation mark in it?
I am having trouble thinking of another phrase that does this. "tldr" just looks like a serial number or massive typo. "tl;dr" looks like it means something. I haven't fully digested it yet, but my TLDR takeaway is that if "impossible" is to be defined at all in probability, it only makes sense (in the context of probability theory) to say that any zero-probability event is impossible. The alternative—requiring the event to be an empty set of outcomes—leads to bad results.
