I do appreciate all the help I can get, and I will help you all I can. My Name is Carol Tillery I was born 01,25, 1954 My father is Lonnie Irvin Tillery. He was born 08,29, 1931.he married Josephine Murphy Tillery they gave birth to 8 children five boys and three girls. I am the olderst living of the eight.

Marie Tillery Tauscher, Elva Pearl Dodd Merriott, Katherine Tillery Knox, Eunice Lanning Andrus, TILLERY FAMILIES, unpubl. TS received from Evelyn Tillery Carter of Knoxville, TN Feb. 2000: pp. 3-4 Cawfield Taylor Tillery was born in Tennessee in 1806, and died in Saline County, Arkansas.

The Tillery Plantation was located in Halifax Co. near the crossroads of Tillery, NC. at the intersection of NC561 and NC481. The actual plantation was owned by John Tillery, QuarterMaster, Revolutionary War. He was single with no known decendants. As far as I know no buildings etc. Plenty of slave decendants in the area, though.

Leonard Brooks Tillery, son of Cawfield Taylor Tillery and Irenia (Brooks) Tillery, was a Second Lieutenant in Monroe's Regiment, CSA. He was killed by Ed Akin on July 16, 1872 and was buried in Antioch Cemeter. The Ed Aiken family were "well known" Yankee Sympathizers.The Aiken family ran the Aiken Post Office in the Antioch Community.
