Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson (1824–1863) was a Confederate officer during the Civil War. He is most well-known for his bold battlefield strategies and the demeanor that earned him his nickname. He is recognized as one of the most renowned of all Confederate commanders of the war. More @Wikipedia
