Bookmark or Share- Any Choptank fisherman here? - Bass Fishing ForumIn those places where there are no markers, again, use your head & pay attention. If you have a bigger boat, like the glass bass boats, there are places you're going to have trouble getting into & out of depending on the tidal levels. Be aware of the tides. My boats are small, and I've got stuck a few times, but was able to get free fairly quickly.
- jerico river/GA TidesTides down here are crazy compared to southern MS. Launched with ease in a nice sized tidal lake (3-7ft) at high tide. Had to duck to get under a bridge with a strong flowing incoming tide. Checked out the same area yesterday afternoon during low tide + strong north winds and the tidal lake was dry!
- Minn Kota Maxxum 80 Report Follow Up - Bass Fishing ForumI don't know why it seemed to be underpowered but now it is just about as good as it gets. Power is where it should be and above all this thing is very kind to my trolling motor batteries. Cable steering is ultra smooth after some initial adjustments and with its power managing the currents and tides here on the river are no problem for this motor.
- Pascagoula River 4/7/22 - ultimatebass.comRiver stage at Merrill is over 20' and still rising expected to be over flood by tomorrow and that water should be down here by Saturday. Still got a few more weeks before the tides switch around to falling during the day but its spring and the bass don't seem to mind.
- Bluff Creek Sept. 9, 2021Water was high as usual and tides were neap so no real movement, water temps 80-81and visibility was 1-2 feet which surprised me as the river was at flood stage 5 days ago but falling good now. Couple of small fish on a buzz bait then a keeper on a fluke.
