I spent a grand on the whole thing, I just used the website to put the parts together for your reference, no worries! EDIT TO CLARIFY, as in, all the parts listed plus peripherals cost me about a grand total when I bought it, not a grand for the 1660 lmao. I also intend on upgrading the MOBO and CPU next.

I'm running debian chroot on the Car Thing, with X11, usb-networking set up and using SSH with X11 f orwarding to run the KlipperScreen app remotely on the local (CarThing) X11 server. Some changes needed to be made to X11, as it defaults to portrait orientation (both the display output and touchscreen input need to be rotated 90 degrees)

The main thing is to make sure that they are updated before trying to use them with the steam deck. Half of them where not updates so I had to do that to get all of them working. I also have the BlueTooth Decky one that makes it even better for remembering controllers,etc..

Setting up a PO box is a great thing to increase security as long as you use it as your address for things that require one online (banking, paypal, etc) No one is going to swat a PO Box. Also, VPNs help a lot with IP address security. And there are a ton of vendors that do easy 1 click set up, and also maintain speed.
