Bookmark or Share- Official Next Smash - Speculation & Discussion Thread - SmashboardsI mean, IS probably wouldn't go for it and the Pokemon Company may or may assassinate Sakurai if he were to pitch this idea, so it would never happen. However, this is one of the few scenarios where I think intentionally departing from Ultimate's design philosophy could actually be an asset rather than a detriment.
- Smashboards Creates: SSB If It Was Created During the Switch EraThe sole exception to this would probably be HAL, because they're presumably developing the game. Hence, no Intelligent Systems, Platinum Games, Pokemon Company, etc. (DLC would probably be a good place to put some of these developers at the forefront, though.) Bear in mind that stuff by, say, Monolith Soft or Retro Studios is still fair game.

Metroid and Donkey Kong are interesting, though. Metroid's been on the upswing ever since Dread, but it's not quite as big as the Big Four or even Kirby in terms of marketing or sales.
