Overall toxin is the best element for your weapons. It is the most flexible and useful for damage and status application and build making. Next to toxin the second best is Fire, but you pick that one on weapons with high status and fire rate to get an extra element for galvanized aptitude and help with damage scaling, yet toxin is still better ...
