- SuperMicro Fan Speed Won't Slow - ServeTheHome ForumsWhen plugging any fan other than a SuperMicro fan into a SuperMicro motherboard, you need to adjust the IPMI fan thresholds, otherwise the board will detect the fan as spinning too slow, and it will compensate by spinning all of the other fans up to full speed. You can fix this with the IPMITOOL or IPMIUTIL.

- Cannot get Supermicro X10SDV-f to boot to USB SOLVEDIm logged into the SuperMicro box over IPMI. I have set the BIOS to boot from Dual mode instead of UEFI only and put the USB drive at the top, but, depending on settings, I either get it still booting to the Windows Server OS, or just going to a black screen and sitting there indefinitely.
