Bookmark or Share- Superfly vs Mountainfly vs Thunderfly - Hammock ForumsI had a Superfly, but then changed it for a Winterdream because I needed a 13ft lenght, I wanted the inner pole mod and like the snaps on the door. First trip 2nd night I had a stormy night on a camping area with only few trees and lots of empty space for the wind to blow from the sides.

While fiddling with gear in my back yard yesterday, I decided to shoot some video of how I set up my tarp. A lot of new people on these forums, ask about tarps and this one in particular. The set up and tips are not exclusive to this tarp.
- Superfly pole mod. - Hammock Forumsthis is a pic of my son and I set up with our superfly nd pole mods. poles are from Dutch. made short dogbones with 7/64 amsteel and leave attached to tarp at all times. the tips od the poles fit nicely into the closed loop of the dogbone. we have been in 45+ MPH winds and super heavy down pours with these tarps and ploes with no issues.

I used to have a Superfly and liked it but felt is was a little too big at times. I am contemplating getting rid of the CF tarp and going back to a Warbonet tarp. In addition to the Superfly they also have the Mountainfly and Thunderfly.
