- Echelon Compact Anyone? - Springfield XD ForumSpringfield Armory is likely to phase out the XD, XD mod. 2 (my favorite XD), and XD-M in favor of a full spectrum of Echelon pistols similar to these images (simple MS Paint cut&paste). The Hellcat series will continue because it is the ultra slim option. So which size would you buy? I would buy the Echelon Compact and SC both.
