Bookmark or Share- Remove double line spacing - Microsoft SupportThe default spacing is 1.15 lines, which gives you a bit more room between lines and 10 points of spacing after each paragraph for better readability. For more exact spacing, select Line Spacing Options, and make changes under Spacing. For more info, see Adjust indents and spacing.
- Change spacing between paragraphs - Microsoft SupportClick anywhere in the paragraph you want to change. Go to Layout, and under Spacing, click the up or down arrows to adjust the distance before or after the paragraph. You can also type a number directly. Update the spacing between paragraphs without changing the whole document.
- Change the line spacing in Word - Microsoft SupportChange the line spacing in Word. You can control the vertical space between the lines of text in your document by setting the line spacing. Or, you can change the vertical space between paragraphs in your document by setting the spacing before or spacing after paragraphs.
- Double-space the lines in a document - Microsoft SupportYou can double-space all or part of a Word document. To double-space the whole document, go to Design > Paragraph Spacing, and choose Double. Tip: To double-space only part of the document, select the paragraphs you want to change, go to Home > Line and Paragraph Spacing, and choose 2.0.
- Keep text together - Microsoft SupportTo keep two words or a hyphenated word together on one line, you can use a nonbreaking space or nonbreaking hyphen instead of a regular space or hyphen. Click where you want to insert the nonbreaking space. You can also use the keyboard shortcut.
