My daughter, aged 18, and I are going to Aruba for a week in January. This will be out first trip to the island. What tours and activities are recommended, including any specific companies? We would like to go on a boat trip for snorkeling and to the National Park but are also looking for other ideas. Favorite beaches? More @Wikipedia

- Fiji - Rick Steves Travel ForumIf sea sports are your thing there are numerous places along the Mexican Riviera that surprisingly (to us at least) offer some excellent snorkeling, sailing and SCUBA opportunities. The area around Puerto Vallarta is especially attractive in that regard.

The to-do's would include day sailing to The Baths, Joest Van Dyke, and snorkeling, walks on the beach and more snorkeling/sailing. But, if your to-dos must include nightlife and a lot of shopping, then these places may not be your best bet.

We have done road to Hana twice, but never the whole way. We have gone a little over half way. If a tour is available, probably a bit less tiring. Spending the night in Hana would be better. But there are many nice places to stop along the way.
