Bookmark or Share- Comtrol round feed in 2023? | Long Range Hunting ForumIf building off a 700 style i would consider a center feed style magazine like unknown munitions or hawkins htr. The smoothness of the centerfeed and decreased risk of cris- crossing your rounds makes me lean towards them more often for builds nowadays. But I've got three defiance crf actions i got plans for as my first love was a model 70 crf!!!

Many times if the trigger/cocking piece sear(s) point of contact is in a slightly different position than stock, a safety will be hard to engage. The different position could be due to someone altering sear surfaces for smoothness of trigger pull or from damage. Your best safest bet is to take it to a smit .

Polymer trigger guard is a detractor according to some but I Have no complaints yet.
