Bookmark or Share- Slalom Skiing behind 187? - JetBoaters.NetWelcome Bizz, i was gonna get the 187 also but went for the 207 instead, tiny bit more seating all around, 2 more speakers, and a bigger fuel tank. definitely will keep these threads updated on how slalom skiing is on it, also the whole boat in general and keep an eye on the other post about how the fins (thrust vectors) handle and work out, next time i get the boat out will be the first time ...
- 2019 Yamaha AR190 - Wakesurf? or upgrade - JetBoaters.netWakeboard, WakeSkate, Water Ski (double and slalom), Hydrofoiling, and Tubing are all done with ease behind the 190. Plenty of power to pull even the larger slalom guys out of a deep water start. If the 19' boat fits your size needs, you can find gently used 195's for under $40k. @haknslash has one for sale right now I think.
- A question for skiers - JetBoaters.NetI slalom behind our 242 Ltd s - generally around 32 mph - we use ride steady for speed control as we don’t have the xe features. The pull is good with a fairly flat wake at that speed- I like it compared to I/O’s but not as much as an inboard ski nautique- better than the wake versions though as I find those wakes too high for skiing even ...
- New tow point for the slalom skiers in my Scarab 165The actual tow point is too low, more important for me catching the line is not easy (you need to go to on the swim platform :mad: ). - Is a Yamaha 195 good for experienced Slalom skier?I slalom behind our AR195 in Utah between 5,000-7,000 elevation. No real issues skiing unless temps are high - such as unexpected flat water in the afternoon. If you are getting out on the water in the morning with the fishermen, it should be cool enough to be a nonissue. I do pull the boat around a bit (195lbs).
