Bookmark or Share- Is there a way to tell if my computer uses Silverlight?Silverlight was Microsoft's attempt to compete with Adobe Flash. It only ever was used on a few Microsoft web sites. Microsoft finally gave up and announced the end of life of Silverlight 5 in 2012. In 2013, Microsoft announced that they had ceased development of Silverlight except for patches and bugfixes.
