Bookmark or Share- Configure headers and footers for different sections of a document ...Click or tap the page at the beginning of a section. Select Layout > Breaks > Next Page . Double-click the header or footer on the first page of the new section.
- Change or delete a header or footer on a single pageTo delete or change headers and footers on individual pages within a document, start by inserting a section break. Important: Section breaks are different from page breaks. If you already have a page break before the page where you want to change the header or footer, remove a page break and replace it with a section break as shown below.
- Edit your existing headers and footers - Microsoft SupportDouble-click the header or footer you want to edit, or select Header or Footer, and then select Edit Header or Edit Footer. To remove the first page header or footer Select Different First Page. To add a page number Click or tap where you want the number, select Page Number and choose a style. You may need to edit for better formatting.
- Link to previous - Microsoft SupportLink to previous is available when you have more than one like section. By default, sections are linked, so a header that was created in one section will be carried over when you create a section break.
- Insert a document in Word - Microsoft SupportYou can insert the content of previously-created Word documents into a new or different Word document. Click or tap where you want to insert the content of the existing document. Go to Insert and select the arrow next to Object . Select Text from File. Locate the file that you want and then double-click it.
