Bookmark or Share- Top vintage Sansui speakers - Audiokarma Home Audio Stereo Discussion ...Sansui made three excellent speakers: SP-L700, SP-L800 and SP-L900 (SP-G200, SP-G300 and SP-G500 in Japan). SP-L700 was upgraded as SP-L750 with a super tweeter. They all sounded like JBLs. All the other Sansui speakers were average or below average.

- A review, one of the last good vintage Sansui receivers for posterity ...That said, I don't believe this was the last line of decent receivers from Sansui. I have a Z-5000X that sounds very good, and an S-X1200 that has a toroidal transformer and the big Sanken output transistors, and sounds very good as well. The Z-#000X series were mostly plastic with metal knobs, but had great sound and were made in Japan.

- Sansui 8 Deluxe...how good? - Audiokarma Home Audio Stereo Discussion ...In terms of both power and chronology, the AU-8500 would have been the closest integrated Sansui amp to the Eight Deluxe when they were new in 1973-'74. They have similar specs. Whether they sounded alike or similar I can't say. Nor can I guess that the two had the same architecture in their pre-amp/power amp stages.
