Gamgee is more mentally tough and a angry hobbit with a knife would be enough to put the fear into tarly. With some intimidation I could see gamgee blitzing the first two rounds 6/10. Round 3: I would say gamgee has the advantage. Lots of mental fortitude and tarly has the disadvantage of being human which makes him extra susceptible. Gamgee 9/10 More @Wikipedia
