- 34 Reefing Configuration - SailNet Community-This set up leaves an empty clutch on each side of the cabin top, these are used for the inter stay sail sheets. There is an empty cabin top winch on each side if the reefing outhauls are belayed with their clutch.-This might not be the most elegant set up, You will have to spend some time at the mast (granny bars are great there).

Older trawlers can be had for far less $$ than sailboats. That savngs is enough to buy a lot of fuel and some of them use a lot less than I thought. Trawlers often have better passenger accomodations.
- How about a Hardin 45 Thread | SailNet CommunityYou all belong to an elite group of 160 possible Hardin 45 owner members I soon hope to be a part of. I currently have a beautiful 2001 Catalina 310 which we sail on Lake Erie, but as was stated above, it's a fiberglass cookie cutter production model. Our Future plans call for cruising / voyaging and the Hardin 45 is our sailing vessel of choice.
