Just finished installing a Ryobi 3302m with crestlines (altra) in my small shop, where I had previously been running a hamada one-color duplicator. There are a lot of things about this press that are alien to me, and these are the (probably dumb) questions I have that aren't addressed in the service or operation manual.
- Ryobi 3304 HA - PrintPlanet.comBiggest draw back of that machine is you only have an impression area of 17.25 inches. You can not run two 8.5 x 11 sheets two up with bleed and produce a color bar. Poly can be used for process work but getting fit on all four sides is a huge challenge. Depending on age and impressions you could be looking anywhere between $85k/$150k.
- Is a Ryobi 3302 (Itek 3985) capable of the odd bit of Process work?We saw many a demo at the old Gutenberg shows, where the 3302 ran process color. The bottom line is, YES the 3302 WILL run process color, but why would you want to. Let's take a typical job; 2500 8.5 x 11 4/4 on 100# gloss. To run it 2 up work and turn, with bleeds and color bars is near impossible.
