- I got so used to "Ruffy" that sometimes forgot that the name of the ...Is that a German or Italian translation Monkī Dī Rufi, therefore the Germans went with Ruffy, while the pronunciation is more near an L or in between L and R (R and L exist both are pronounced similar hence why they have problems with German words that have a strong spoken R) which would habe been hard to use without sounding silly
