Bookmark or Share- Rough Rider steel??? - BladeForums.comDescriptions at the Rough Rider store site say it's 440A stainless steel. The sales people there (in TN) say that they ship US 440A to China for the production. I think you'll probably like he knife, especially at their price point.
- Trapper review, Buck,Case,Rough Rider,SchradeI don't recall any specific name to it, the box is outside in my truck, I'll look tomorrow. But it was a regular looking plain Rough Rider box. The other is called the Tortuga Trapper, came in a much nicer box, kinda a display box. Tortuga is Spanish for turtle, I know that caus some Mexicans I worked with called me Tortuga caus I took my time lol.
- Rough Ryder - Quality of carbon steel? If you can, also please tell ...I have around 60 stainless Rough Rider (several different patterns), 5 with carbon steel, (4 classic carbon) and one of the Colt canoes with carbon steel before that one was moved to the Rough Rider line when they lost (or gave up) the Colt license. The Colt and carbon steel RR Moose (not a Classic Carbon) have 1/8 inch blade stock.
- Are Rough Rider knives durable? - BladeForums.comI think the dollar for dollar best value for a pocket knife would be Victorinox. A Spartan is a bit more expensive than a rough rider, but sinc Vics are rivetted instead of pinned, they don't loosen up near as easy, plus you get a caplifter to open a cold beer amongst other things. Hard to top that.
- Rough Rider Marlin Spike - BladeForums.comRough Rider makes some nice knives, and when I saw that they are making a knife with a marlin spike, I immediately bought one. This is the model 576 (red jigged bone) but there are also two other models. Each with a different handle material. Like all Rough Riders, this one is made in China. In-store cost is around $9.
