- did anyone have a bad ROTC experience but do a lot better as a real ...My ROTC program was pretty much a big frat. Since I was an engineering major with a real life and interests other than alcohol, I was not well liked by my peers. At the risk of stereotyping, my ROTC BN CDR was an Aviation Officer (meaning also a frat boy) - I was therefore not well liked by most of my cadre either.
- ROTC for Non-US Citizens : r/ROTC - RedditDef recommend joining ROTC and taking the courses (cadre should allow it as ROTC is technically just another college elective) so that you don’t lag on the experience that your peers are receiving and you also become integrated with the environment, this will help with accessions and your future performance in ROTC overall.
- Doing ROTC while already enlisted : r/army - RedditRotc is going to suck for you the first two years because you'll essentially know everything you're being taught. It's not until your 3 and 4th year that you really get into the advanced material. So the first two years may or may not be a huge headache to you.
