His middle game also leaves much to be desired, though that's also heavily a product of the era.

Even if he slips from here, RJ Barrett is a legitimately good player who can get his shot off in most circumstances and seems to have overcome his previous inefficiency. He's more than worth his contract, and what we gave up in trade. The haterade really needs to stop.
- RJ Barrett 1st team All Empty Calories - RealGMHis 32 game run in Toronto last year, he was taking 43% of his shots at the rim, this season he's been at 28%, which lines up with his Knicks days. He's taking 34% of his shots between 3-10 feet, which would be a career high. He's taking 31% of his shots from 3, last year in Toronto that number was 24%.
- RJ Barrett 1st team All Empty Calories - Page 2 - RealGM1. Scottie + IQ + Barrett have only played in 22 games together, with a netRTG of +3. Add Poeltl into that lineup and it's a sample of only 14 games and netRTG of +10. We have no idea what that lineup can do because we haven't seen much of it, but the limited time we have seen has actually looked good.
