Bookmark or Share- Strange happenings in the woods | Page 4 | North Carolina Hunting and ...One night on our way back we saw some light hoovering and moving around strangely. Not sure if what we were really seeing was there or we had smoked a little too much that night. On another trip we were heading to the pond and a car passed so we laid down in the field. Somehow when I laid down I stuck my rod up the shorts of the guy I was with.

Not sure if a turtle or a fish that unhooked. Second night, hadn't really planned to set any lines but needed milk so went to Walmart and got some packaged shad. This time set lines in two different spots on the river, and set three in the pond.
- Do you have a favorite doe hunt in your memory?But, when the call strikes, and the sphincter is losing the battle of retention, you pretty much end up going the first spot available, and that was about 50 yards downhill from my stand where I had heard something big thrashing around in the laurel, directly across from the persimmon trees.

First two times, we had great weather and started strong - only to have someone come in after LST and set up downwind of us - and cutting us out for the day. This last hunt we decided to sleep late, leave about 3 to get to the pond around 5.

He manages a lakeside campground and sent a message to all owners that they better come and get what they won’t because it won’t be there tomorrow. Very similar setup to 2004.
