Bookmark or Share- Anything Good on Restaurant Week List? : r/AskNYC - RedditRestaurant week was an opportunity for higher-tiered restaurants to market their food at affordable prices. Basically, it's just marketing. However, most restaurants don't even offer affordable prices anymore, and places like diners and mall chain restaurants participate. It's still marketing, but useless.

We didn’t go specifically for restaurant week but two of us did go with that menu and thought it was fantastic. We also ordered a few things off of the regular brunch menu and the sweet soaked Spanish toast (Torrijas) was so good! It wasn’t super busy and service was great.

I think the main issues with restaurant week are 1) knowing which restaurants do a good job of it and 2) restaurants are just more expensive since 2022 so you're getting a good deal relative to 2024 prices, not relative to pre covid prices.
