Rehovot (Heb. רְחוֹבוֹת; Wide Expanses, a name based on Gen. 26:22) is a city in central Israel, in the Coastal Plain, 14 mi. (22 km.) S. of Tel Aviv-Jaffa. Rehovot was founded in 1890, by First Aliyah immigrants from Poland. More @Wikipedia
