Bookmark or Share- Rod for Penn Spinfisher V 3500 Spinning reel - GON ForumI went with a Shimano Sellus 6 foot medium action that was rated for the same line weight in both mono and braid. I will be using this for the Choctahatchee Bay between Destin and Fort Walton for redfish, flounder, and speckle trout. The Spinfisher 3500 feels good and balanced on this rod. Can't wait to get to try it out this year.

There is a maze of oyster bars that hold more redfish and black drum, but trout and flounder are in there as well. Z-man, Weedless gulp, and live shrimp on a cork do well there. - Venice, LA - GON ForumGot invited on a 3 day fishing trip to Venice, LA by some good friends. We arrived Saturday and stayed in Cypress Cove Marina lodging. Due to offshore conditions Sunday we decided to do an inshore trip. Two boats between 5 people and we all limited out on redfish, caught a bunch of flounder, black drum, and sheeps head.

- Sawtooths, Redfish Lake to Iron Creek | Backcountry PostWe went from Redfish Lake to the Iron Creek Trailhead. It ended up being 28 miles over 4 days/3 nights.
