- Your best OTA antenna design? - SatelliteGuys.USEven when inside, it's pretty amazing. As a test, I checked the signal on WATL-TV. 22Q was the maximum with the rabbit ears. It was watchable, but the rabbit ears were fussy about how they had to be positioned in order to get it. Switch to the Mclapp. 74Q signal!
- New Dinova Boss Mix antenna - SatelliteGuys.USThe antenna is extremely easy to install- all you have to do is extend the rabbit ears, slide the bracket through the holes in the back, and mount it on a standard J-pole. Signal strength and quality are comparable or slightly better than my former antenna, an RCA ANT751R with Channel Master HD7777 preamp.
- Converting Direct TV dish into an antenna for OTA HDAs close to the towers as you appear to be, you need to start very small (the RCA tabletop antenna with rabbit ears and a loop that Lowes has on clearance for $10.38 may be overkill). Home Depot offers a couple of non-amplified antennas for under $15 that include rabbit ears for VHF.
