Bookmark or Share- New Paris Quarry, Bedford co. PA - The Fossil ForumI was super lucky the other week to be invited to the New Paris Quarry in Bedford co. PA. The owner of the quarry is super nice and knowledgeable. He handed out a geology and ID sheet specific to his quarry. according to that sheet, I spent the day in the Old Port formation. The rock was a very hard limestone.
- 2023 summer collecting at Langs quarry! - The Fossil ForumRecently, I spent 5 days at Lang’s quarry collecting fossils and hanging out with some friends. We broke large blocks in the quarry searching for Eurypterids and Pterygotids, of which we found many including a multi-plate. Are best find was a small incomplete Proscorpius, pictured below.
