Obtain a digital certificate and create a digital signature
To digitally sign an Office document, you must have a current (not expired) digital certificate. Digital certificates are typically issued by a certificate authority (CA), which is a trusted third-party entity that issues digital certificates for use by other parties.

When you need to know how many words, pages, characters, paragraphs, or lines are in a document, check the status bar. For a partial word count, select the words you want to count. The status bar shows the word count for that selection and for the entire document.

Apply shading to words or paragraphs - Microsoft Support
Select the word or paragraph that you want to apply shading to. On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click the arrow next to Shading. Under Theme Colors, click the color that you want to use to shade your selection. Note: If you want to use a color that isn't a theme color, choose one under Standard Colors or click More Colors.
