Bookmark or Share- PCC vs AR15 SBR of similar barrel length. Which do you prefer for HD ...AR15 SBR for sure. The main difference is that the rifle caliber offers VASTLY better terminal ballistics. "They are ballistically better than 9mm" is putting it mildly, especially when using good defensive ammo like 77gr TMKs. Poking bullet sized holes vs creating several inch wide diameter wound cavities.
- 16" barrel vs. 18" or 20" barrel in a 308 - AR15.COMQuoted: Your 16" barrel of the same diameter is going to have more inherent accuracy, but less speed. Put a tight twist on the 16" .308 and it will spank 26" guns at longer ranges because they aren't spun fast enough. If I was going to regress and mess around with .308 again, I would want at least a 10" twist.
