Prayagraj, formerly Allahabad, is a city situated at the confluence of the Ganges (Ganga) and Yamuna (Jumna) rivers. It stands on the site of the ancient holy city of Prayag. The present city was founded by the Mughal emperor Akbar in the late 16th century and became the provincial capital of the Mughal Empire. More @Wikipedia
