I too liked the Aztek but decided against it and the main reasons were: 1. The lack of safety and crash test results. 2. The potential for poor re-sell value since so many people do not like the looks.

Afer balancing, the tech pulled out of the garage and parked the Aztec while I paid by bill. I got into the Aztec turned the ignition to start, it fired up but immediately died.

I have a 2003 Pontiac Aztec--the problems you are discussing sound identical--car shuts off even on the highway at 60 mph. Gives me these security lights and then drops the gas light as if I have no gas, shows it to empty and then the call stalls, I pull over, start it up and I can go again.
