- VIN Data Plate - Model A - Antique Automobile Club of America ...Hello-I just bought a 1930 Model A. It is nice, clean and fun. But, it is lacking the VIN on the firewall. Can anyone tell me where this should be and where I can get one? The engine has been changed and is not original. Thank you.

- 1931 ford model A back firing - Antique Automobile Club of AmericaHI forks, I have a 31 model a and had to replace the original carb. I installed a glass fuel bowl and a new carb and lines. She starts right up, idles fine but seams to have lost some power and between shifts she back fires. Not a lot but it does. I removed the throttle linkage and retarded it to set Idell then turned out the idell screw 1-1/2.
