Bookmark or Share- Boating and Fishing Forum - Pioneer 222 Sportfish - The Hull TruthI know that Pioneer is pretty highly respected, and the 222 Sportfish, equipped with a Yamaha 300 makes a very fishable platform. The vast majority of the time, it’s just my wife and I. This boat should be fairly capable off shore, especially when running with a much bigger companion boat.

- The Hull Truth - Boating and Fishing Forum - Pioneer 202 Islander vs ...The Pioneer seems to have an overall better fit and finish, but a couple of differences are making my decision difficult. First thing is the SH is about 1.5ft longer than the Pioneer- so a bigger boat. The standard motor on the Pioneer is a Suzuki 150- which the dealer assured me will meet my needs.
